Details for all 13 stops
Oia
Oia is the north tip of the island. The marble lane runs along the caldera edge past the windmills to the castle ruin, and at sunset there are four thousand people on a path built for four hundred. The quiet parapets are a few turns off the main lane; the driver knows where.
90 min on site Groups of 21+: coach-park stop with a walk in
Sunset crowds: the main lane is shoulder to shoulder from an hour before sunset.
Coach parking is outside the village; groups of 21+ walk in from the coach park.
Fira
Fira is the capital, stacked above the old port on the caldera cliff. The cable car and the donkey path both come up from the tenders below; the cathedral square and the cliff-edge lane are ten minutes apart on foot.
60 min on site
On cruise-ship days the cable-car queue can be long — it is why the cruise buffer exists.
Red Beach
Red Beach is a strip of dark sand under a wall of rust-red volcanic rock, seen from the viewpoint on the path above it. The colour is iron in the lava; the cliff is unstable, which is why the stop is a viewpoint and not a swim.
25 min on site
Red Beach is visited as a viewpoint stop. The path down sits beneath unstable volcanic cliffs subject to rockfall, and access is periodically restricted by the local authorities. We stop at the official viewpoint and follow whatever restriction is in force on the day. Descending to the beach is not part of any tour.
Amoudi Bay
Amoudi is the fishing harbour directly below Oia, under the red cliff: a row of fish tavernas on the quay, boats pulled up on the slip, and the swimming rock a short walk round the point. It is about 300 steps down from Oia, or a narrow road.
45 min on site
About 300 steps down from Oia, or road access; fish tavernas. Each tour states whether the descent is on foot or by road.
Pyrgos
Pyrgos was the capital before Fira and is built as a kasteli, a fortified hill village with the houses as the outer wall. The lanes climb in steep cobbled steps to the castle ruin at the top, where the view takes in the whole southern half of the island.
45 min on site Groups of 21+: coach-park stop with a walk in
Steep cobbled Kasteli: the climb to the top is on uneven steps.
Perissa Black Sand Beach
Perissa is the long black beach on the south-east coast, running under the sheer face of Mesa Vouno. The sand is fine, dark and hot by midday; the tavernas sit right on the front. Sunbeds are rented by the beach bars.
90 min on site
Swimming, tavernas. Sunbeds and umbrellas are rented on the beach and are not included.
Skaros Rock
Skaros is the rock headland below Imerovigli where the Venetian capital stood until the 1800s. The path out is uneven and about twenty minutes each way; the chapel of Panagia Theoskepasti hangs on the far side, facing the volcano.
45 min on site Groups of 21+: coach-park stop with a walk in
Reached on foot from Imerovigli: uneven path, about 20 minutes each way. Budget 45 minutes minimum.
Profitis Ilias
Profitis Ilias is the highest point on Santorini, the summit with the 1711 monastery on it. A quick photo stop for the 360° view: the caldera on one side, the farmland, the beaches and the Aegean on the other, Anafi on the horizon. The group does not enter the monastery.
15 min on site
Vlychada Marina
Vlychada is the beach with the lunar cliffs: wind-carved pumice walls, pale and ribbed, standing over grey sand on the south coast. The small marina next to it is where the fishing boats and the day-cruise boats tie up.
40 min on site
Lunar cliffs, marina.
Megalochori
Megalochori is a wine village on the road south: bell towers over arched gateways, mansions built by Vinsanto merchants, and canava cellars dug into the rock. Quiet at any hour.
30 min on site
Akrotiri Lighthouse
The lighthouse stands on the south-western tip, built in 1892, with open sea on three sides and the caldera cliffs running away to the north. Best in late afternoon, when the light comes in low across the water.
25 min on site
Best in late afternoon.
Kamari Beach
Kamari is the black pebble-and-sand beach on the other side of Mesa Vouno from Perissa, with a paved promenade of tavernas and cafés behind it and the rock face closing the view to the south.
60 min on site
Swimming, tavernas. Sunbeds are rented on the beach and are not included.
Imerovigli
Imerovigli sits at the highest point of the caldera rim, above Fira and Firostefani. The lane along the edge looks straight down at Skaros and across to Thirasia; the light in the afternoon is the best on this side.
40 min on site Groups of 21+: coach-park stop with a walk in
Narrow access: large vehicles park below the village and walk in.
Optional wine tasting at Santo Wines — €30 per person. Tick it in the booking form: it adds an hour to the day and is charged per adult with your booking — nothing further is paid at the winery. 18 and over; younger guests are served soft drinks.

About this tour
A cruise passenger who misses the ship has a very bad day, so the return is built into the product, not the marketing copy. The booking form asks for your ship's name and its all-aboard time — not the departure time; all-aboard is earlier and it is the one that matters. The planner works out the latest return, ninety minutes before it, and will not let you book hours that would breach it.

We meet at the top of the cable car in Fira, just above the station. From the old port you make your own way up — cable car, the 588 steps on foot, or donkey — and the cable car ticket is not included. The tour time starts at the meeting point, not when the tender docks, and on days with several ships in port the queue is long in both directions.
Inside that window the day is yours. Choose stops from the list — Oia, Fira, the red cliffs, Amoudi, Pyrgos, the beaches, the lighthouse — and the time meter shows how full the programme is, with the driving from and back to the meeting point counted in. Each stop shows its cost split into time on site and time driving, so a 90-minute stop that is 40 minutes away reads as what it is.
The price is per person: €62 for three hours and €15 for each extra hour. A wine tasting can be added for €23 per adult, 50 minutes, prepaid with the booking. The total updates as you change hours and passengers. Your driver waits with a name sign, whatever time you come up.

Important information
Meeting point and the cable car
Meeting point: at the top of the cable car in Fira, just above the cable car station. Your driver holds a sign with your name. The tour time starts at the meeting point, not when the tender docks.
Guests arriving by tender reach Fira from the old port by cable car, on foot (588 steps) or by donkey, at their own arrangement and expense. The cable car ticket is not included in the tour price. In peak season the cable car queue can be long, especially when several ships are in port, and it is just as long going back down — allow for it on the return.
Back 90 minutes before all-aboard
We have you back at the meeting point at least 90 minutes before your all-aboard time. Please allow for the cable car queue on the way down. Your booking form asks for the ship's all-aboard time, not the departure time, and the planner caps your hours so the itinerary cannot end later than the buffer allows.
Red Beach — safetySafety note
Red Beach is visited as a viewpoint stop. The path down sits beneath unstable volcanic cliffs subject to rockfall, and access is periodically restricted by the local authorities. We stop at the official viewpoint and follow whatever restriction is in force on the day. Descending to the beach is not part of any tour.
Wine tasting — what it includes, 18+
Three different wines, served with a plate of local cheeses, cured meats and breadsticks, overlooking the vineyard. About 50 minutes. 18 and over — younger guests are welcome and are served soft drinks. ID may be requested.
Amoudi Bay is 300 steps below Oia
When Amoudi is on the itinerary we drive down by the road; nobody has to take the steps. The road is narrow and the quay is small, so on busy days the vehicle waits above and the last stretch is a short walk.
Skaros Rock is a walk
Skaros is reached on foot from Imerovigli: about 20 minutes each way on an uneven path. We budget 45 minutes minimum for it, and it is not suitable for anyone unsteady on their feet.
Groups of 21 or more travel by coach
Our 50-seat coaches cannot reach hotel entrances and cannot enter the village centres of Oia, Pyrgos, Emporio or Imerovigli. For groups of 21 or more we agree a meeting point with you when we confirm your booking, and we will tell you in advance which stops involve a short walk from the coach park.
Accessibility
Villages mean steps, steep cobbles and uneven ground. Our tours are not wheelchair accessible. Contact us before booking and we will say honestly what is possible for you.
Service animals
Service animals and assistance dogs are welcome on all our tours at no extra charge. Please tell us when you book so we can seat you comfortably and plan the stops around you.
Itinerary flexibility
The order may change for traffic, weather, cruise-ship crowds or closures. All listed stops are visited unless conditions make one unsafe or impossible, and the reason is explained on the day.

Frequently asked questions
Is the cable car included? Where exactly do we meet?
No — the cable car ticket is not included, and you make your own way up from the old port (cable car, the 588 steps on foot, or donkey). We meet at the top of the cable car in Fira, just above the station; the map link is in your confirmation. The tour time starts at the meeting point, so allow for the queue in both directions on busy days.
What if my ship is late or the tenders are slow?
Your driver is at the meeting point from your booked start time and waits. If the ship's arrival slips, message us on WhatsApp with the new time; we hold the vehicle and shorten the itinerary so that the return to the meeting point still lands at least 90 minutes before all-aboard. You are never charged for hours you could not use because the ship was late.
What if it rains?
The tour runs. Rain on Santorini is short and rare in season; the villages, the winery and the viewpoints all work in it, and the order is adjusted so that the exposed stops fall in the dry spells. If the weather makes a stop unsafe — high winds at a cliff edge, for instance — we skip that stop and say why.
Can we change the order of the stops?
Yes, with the driver on the morning. The order on the page is the one that works best for light and crowds, but if you want the beach before the villages, say so at pickup. The only fixed point is a sunset stop, which has to be last.
Is lunch included?
No — the price is per person for the vehicle time. If you want to eat, choose a stop with tavernas (Perissa, Kamari, Amoudi, Pyrgos) and allow an hour for it inside your booked hours. The driver will point you to a good one.
Can you take a wheelchair?
Not on this tour as designed. The villages are steps and steep cobbles, the viewpoints are uneven, and our vehicles have no lift. If you or someone in your party uses a wheelchair, contact us before booking: we will say honestly which stops are workable from the vehicle and which are not, and quote a route built around that.
